NOTICE OF RENEWAL FOR THE YEAR 2025
Dear Valued Member,
This is a reminder for all members who have not yet renewed their Practicing Certificates for the year 2025.
As per Section 38(2) of the Advocates Act, Cap 341, it is stipulated that “Every certificate shall continue in force from the day on which it has been issued or takes effect in accordance with this section until the thirty-first day of December next following (both days inclusive) and shall then expire.”
Please be reminded that failure to renew your Practicing Certificate will result in your inability to enter appearances in courts of law or tribunals or to perform any duties as a Practicing or Notary Advocate. Continuing to practice without holding a valid practicing license constitutes professional misconduct.
It is imperative for all advocates to ensure their practicing licenses are valid and up-to-date to maintain the integrity and ethical standards of the profession.
We also wish to remind you that you are required to have a minimum of 10 CLE points to qualify for the renewal of your Practicing Certificate for the year 2025, as provided under Regulations 26, 31, and 32 of the CLE Regulation, 2012, except for those who are exempted under Regulation 27 of the said Regulation.
For members with insufficient CLE points, we advise you to visit the Wakili Database Account, where you can access the Premium Instant CLE points that are currently available.
For more information, kindly contact Ms. Yustina Bulali at mobile number 0778-626200 or Ms. Mercy Kessy at mobile number 0779-626215.
