DEADLINE FOR RENEWAL OF PRACTICING CERTIFICATE FOR 2023
Dear Valued Member,
This is a reminder to the members who have not yet renewed their Practicing Certificates for this year, that the deadline for the renewal is 30th June 2023.
Those who will not renew their Practicing Certificates by the end of June will have to seek approval from the Chief Justice for renewal of their Practicing Certificates. Also, their names will be included in the list of defaulters which will be published to the public and other stakeholders.
Kindly, take note that without renewing your Practicing Certificate you will be not allowed to enter an appearance in the Courts of law, Tribunals or to perform any duty as a Practicing or Notary Advocate.
We further wish to remind you that, you are required to have a minimum of 10 CLE points to qualify for renewal of Practicing Certificate for the year 2023 as provided under Regulations 26, 31 and 32 of the CLE Regulation, 2012 save for those who are exempted under Reg.27 of the said Regulation. As per Regulation members with less than 10 points will not be allowed to renew their Practicing Certificates without valid and concrete reasons with evidence. However, there will be remedial CLE seminars and members who have not attained 10 CLE points are encouraged to participate.
