Revised list of Nominees received as of Friday, 3rd March 2023

Reference is made to the Notice on the extension of time to receive nominations, which was issued by the Electoral Committee on Saturday, 25th February 2023 via TLS official email.
Following the closing of the nominations period, which was on Friday, 03rd March, 2023 at 05.00pm, and as per Regulation 28 (1) of the Tanganyika Law Society (Elections) Regulations GN No. 598 of 2022, the Electoral Committee is pleased to publish the revised list of members who have been nominated and the positions for which they are nominated as of Friday, 03rd March, 2023.
The Committee will be convened for the vetting process and the names of all candidates eligible to vie for elections and the positions for which they are seeking for elections will be published.
In compliance with rule 28 (2) of the Tanganyika Law Society (Elections) Regulations GN No. 598 of 2022, The Electoral Committee is pleased to invite members to submit to it any objections or information in confidence, on ethics and malpractice in respect of the nominees together with any information relating to nominees’ compliance to section 15(2) (3) and section 15A of TLS Act cap 307 as amended in 2018.
Any objections or information in confidence, on ethical and malpractice in respect of nominees should reach the Secretary of the Electoral Committee, Mr. Nelson Frank either at the TLS office located at Chato Street, Plot No. 21, Regent Estate, Dar es Salaam, or via his email nfrank@tls.or.tz no later than Friday, 10th March, 2023 at 5.00pm.
Kindly take note that, until such moment when the list of qualified candidates is published and the date of the campaign is announced by the Committee, nominees and their supporters are reminded to refrain from embarking on campaigning.
