Tanganyika Law Society is currently conducting a Governing Council and Chapter Induction Workshop at the African Dreams Hotel in Dodoma from 29th April to 3rd May 2019 aiming at orienting the new members of the Governing Council and Chapter Leaders on how TLS operates and their roles on enhancing members’ services and welfare, good governance and rule of law within the country.
Key issues for discussion include Understanding TLS (TLS at Glance); TLS Governing tools and organs; TLS Organogram and its Chain of Command; TLS Strategic plan and its interventions/operations; TLS financing operation, control and management; and Programs as per TLS Strategic Plan and Projects Implementation.
Moreover, on Monday, 29th April 2019, members of the Governing Council had an opportunity to pay a courtesy visit to the Ministry of Constitution and Legal Affairs whereby they met the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Directors, Deputy Directors and some of Staff of the said Ministry. The Governing Council and Chapters leaders are expecting to pay other courtesy visits to the Minister of the Constitution and Legal Affairs, Speaker, Deputy Speaker and Attorney General during this Induction Period in Dodoma.
