DEADLINE FOR RENEWAL OF PRACTISING CERTIFICATE FOR THE YEAR 2024

Dear Valued Member,

Happy New Year 2024.  

This is a reminder to the members who have not yet renewed their Practicing Certificates for 2024.  Please be reminded that the deadline for the renewal of the Practicing Certificate for the year 2024 without penalty is 31st January 2024.

Kindly note that those who do not renew their Practicing Certificates by 31st January 2024 will be required to pay Judiciary Subscription fees with penalty. And for those who do not renew their Practicing Certificates up to 31st June 2024, they will have to seek approval from the Chief Justice for renewal of their Practising Certificates.

Furthermore, please be reminded that by not renewing your Practicing Certificate, you will not be allowed to enter an appearance in the Courts of law or tribunals or to perform any duty as a Practicing or Notary Advocate.

We further wish to remind you that, you are required to have a minimum of 10 CLE points to qualify for renewal of Practicing Certificate for the year 2024 as provided under Regulations 26, 31, and 32 of the CLE Regulation, 2012 save for those who are exempted under Reg. 27 of the said Regulation.

For any member who has not obtained 10 CLE points, there is an opportunity to attend the ongoing remedial CLE seminars. You are encouraged to do so. Please visit your Wakili Database for information about ongoing remedial CLE seminars. For more information, kindly contact Ms. Mercy Kessy at mkessy@tls.or.tz or 0779-626215.
