Kindly be informed that the deadline to renew your Practicing Certificate without Judiciary Penalty is 31st January 2021.
Members who will not renew their Practicing Certificate by the deadline, will be required to pay a penalty on their judiciary fee equivalent to 50% of the applicable Judiciary Fee. They will also not be allowed to enter appearance in the courts of law, tribunals or to perform any duty as a Practicing Advocates.
Therefore, you are kindly advised to renew your Practicing Certificate before the deadline to avoid unnecessary penalty and inconveniences. Attached herewith is the Fee Note and instruction on how to make payments. Payments are made through Wakili Data Base https://wakili.tls.or.tz
Also be informed that, the Continuous Legal Education (CLE) Committee convened its 1st Ordinary Meeting to approve the Remedial CLE seminars and among other things the committee resolved that, each member with insufficient points to use this opportunity so as to acquire knowledge and sufficient points to renew practising certificate for 2021. After these remedial seminars no other remedial CLE seminars will be conducted and any member with insufficient points as required by the CLE Regulations will not be allowed to renew his/her Practising certificate.
As approved by the committee, each seminar will cost 100,000/= with 4 points for physical seminar and 40,000/= with 2 points for online seminar.
